Пројекат “VolonTIraM – Youth for Zlatibor Tourism”, implemented by the Youth Office of the Municipality of Čajetina with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, successfully brought together young people from Čajetina, Užice, Priboj, and Bajina Bašta with the aim of developing volunteerism and promoting Zlatibor’s tourism potential.
During the previous months, 30 young participants from these five municipalities completed training in volunteering and volunteer management, took part in creating a volunteer program, and produced short films about important Zlatibor landmarks.
The premiere of the final film was held at the cinema of the Zlatibor Cultural Center. In cooperation with the Zlatibor Tourist Organization, information boards were installed at five locations: Gradina, Tito’s Villa, King’s Fountain, the Monument at Šumatno Brdo, and the Library in Čajetina. By scanning QR codes, visitors can watch and listen to content prepared by the young participants. In this way, these locations gained the function of modern tourist guides.
The final event was also attended by Assistant Minister of Tourism and Youth, Ivana Antonijević, who emphasized the importance of such projects for connecting young people and developing volunteerism. The young participants described the project as a valuable experience that enabled them to build new friendships, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to their community through the promotion of Zlatibor and volunteerism.
